Abbeyleix Community Nursing Unit is a residential  care unit, caring for older  persons who are from the catchment area of the unit.

The aim of Abbeyleix Community Nursing Unit is to provide a comprehensive service which is underpinned by the principals of person centred care as well as dignity and respect for all.

We recognise the uniqueness and talents of each individual and respond in a meaningful way by promoting their independence and choice in a comfortable homely setting.

Each resident is encouraged to direct their own lives according to their level of dependency, supported by their families, and friends and staff.
