Peamount Healthcare

Peamount Healthcare (formerly Peamount Hospital) is an independent voluntary organisation that provides a range of high quality health and social care services in partnership with the Health Service Executive.
These services include  Residential Services, Rehabilitation Services, and Community Services.
The Peamount Campus is situated on 50 acres of landscaped grounds near Newcastle County Dublin.
Age Related Residential Services are provided to men and women over 65 years.
We aim to provide a safe, homely environment which promotes residents’ privacy and dignity.
There are Age Related beds in two single storey residential units, St. Patrick’s and St. Ciaran’s.
Residents are admitted under the care of a Consultant Geriatrician.
Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team which includes nursing staff who are supported by health care attendants, a clinical nurse specialist,
physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, dietician, recreation therapist and social worker.
The team works together to ensure that each resident’s needs are assessed and an individualised care plan is developed.
The service also has access to a Consultant in Psychiatry of Later Life.
Residents have access to a range of clinical, social and recreational services to help them live as independently as possible on campus.
A policy of open visiting is offered at Peamount ending at 9.30 pm.
Each unit has a Resident’s Committee, a forum to give residents (and family members), an opportunity to participate in decisions that affect them.
