Heather House Community Nursing Unit

Heather House Community Nursing Unit is a two-storey, new purpose-built designated centre opened in April 2011.

This nursing unit is for the care of Older Persons who require long stay care

We are situated on the north side of the city in a residential area about 2 miles from the centre of Cork city on the campus of St. Mary’s Health Camus (formerly St. Mary Orthopedic  Hospital in Gurranbraher).

Patio doors from the dining room open up on to a large patio area and then into an enclosed garden area with some raised flower beds and garden furniture.

At the other end of the building is a sitting room which also has access to an enclosed garden.

A computer/telephone/resource room is located off the main corridor area and will provide computer and telephone access for residents.
