Kinsale Community Hospital

Kinslae Community Hospital is situated one mile from the picturesque town of Kinsale in County Cork.

Kinsale town welcomes many visitors and is host to festivals of arts and culture in addition to renowned centres of culinary excellence.

The local people have always held the Hospital in high esteem and support has been incredible over the years helping us to provide much needed services to the Older People of Kinsale and District.

Kinsale Community Hospital has a long history of caring, onwards form the long tradition of caring under the auspices of the Sisters of Mercy from 1873.

Kinsale Cottage Hospital came into operation in 1932 and continued to expand to serve as a rehabilitation unit for post orthopaedic surgery patients.

In 1988 a need was identified for Long Term Care residential places for older people The Hospital was totally refurbished and completed in 2009; further imporvements resulted in 2011 and is now home to Long Term residents.
